Tame Impala - Music Video
Worked on the music video directed by Joe Pelling and Becky Sloan for Tame Impala’s ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards’.
Spent many an hour with a scalpel cutting plasticine into frames. Pretty sure I’m now a qualified plasticine surgeon.

Rare: Kingston Illustration & Animation 2012 from Matthew King on Vimeo.
The graduating Illustration & Animation students produced a catalogue of their work for the degree show/’Rare’ exhibition. I was asked to create a short film following the checking and printing of the catalogues at Opal Print. The film will be displayed alongside the catalogues at the Rare 2012 exhibition, Rochelle School & Club Row, London.
Underwater Periscope
I filmed and photographed my brother Tim testing out the periscope he built.
Florence Trip.
Went on an amazing trip with the course to Florence. Alongside illustrations and photos I took short video clips which I’ve edited together.
(2012) Trafalgar Lights
How trafalgar square would look if you’ve lost your glasses.
The V&A is teeming with amateur photographers and professional tourists, filling their cameras with thousands of photos of nothing. Suppose there were a creature living there that lived off them, it would be a pretty ideal habitat.
Had the amazing opportunity to help out Phoebe Halstead and Angie Phillips on their final degree animation ‘Peace One Day’ by making buildings grow out of the ground and crumble to pieces. The film won Best of Year D&AD 2012.
